Our new Men’s Group is up and meeting each month at Dalton UMC. Our group meets the last Saturday morning of each month for breakfast and a time of fellowship. Our next gathering will be June 30 at Das Dutch Kitchen Restaurant at 8am. We invite all men from our church and the community to join us in this new ministry. Vacation Bible School is June 23 thru June 28 from 6 to 8pm. Once again we will be partnering with our friends at Dalton Presbyterian Church in this week-long program for all ages.

We will go on our summer time schedule beginning on June 3. Worship will be at 10am. Watch for special events throughout the summer months and remember the church when you plan to be away. Our mission never takes a break and the needs are great in the hot, hazy summer months.

Dalton UMC is once again preparing Health Kits for the Midwest Mission Distribution Center. They will be collecting kits at Lakeside when we gather for Annual Conference June 18-21. If you wish to build a kit, UMCOR requests that the following items (NEW) be placed in a sealed one-gallon plastic bag: 1 hand towel (15″ x 25″ up to 17″ x 27″ No kitchen towels)…1 washcloth…1 comb (large and sturdy, not pocket-sized)…1 nail file or fingernail clippers (no emery boards or toenail clippers)…1 bath-size bar of soap (3 oz. and up)…1 toothbrush (single brushes only in original wrapper, no child-size brushes)…6 adhesive plastic strip sterile bandages…and $1.00 to purchase toothpaste. We will be collecting the kits through Thursday June 14 at the church. If you wish to make a monetary contribution, please make your gift payable to Dalton UMC and we will forward it to the Center as well.
